Pearl Jam in Boston

If you didn't know already, I'm a fan of all kinds of music. One type that I particularly have a attraction to is 90's grunge. Unfortunately as a youngster, I never got to go to any grunge shows. Thanks to hard economic times, all these bands have resurfaced and began to tour. I finally got to see one band that I always wanted to see, Pearl Jam. I'm not a super fan but I do enjoy their music and I have to say, the show was exactly what I expected.
Eddie Vedder, the lead singer was very interactive with the crowd and had mentioned that this show was their 27 appearance in greater Boston. Thanks to JC for invite.

Pig Head

When I was in Chicago a couple of weekends ago for a wedding, I had the honor of feasting on some freshly killed pork. After all the wedding festivities were over and the party was starting to wined down, I noticed a newly set table towards the back of the hall. As I got closer, I noticed this delicious looking specimen.I had never seen a freshly cooked pig before and a head that was still in tact. I have to say, the meat was very tender and juicy and oooohhhhhhh so good. I made a little doggy bag and took it back to the hotel for some late night eats.

Knog -white beetle headlight

Finally, after almost a year of riding at night, I got a headlight for my bike. I've had some close calls trying to avoid potholes and careless drivers so this purchase was well over due. I stopped by my favorite bike shop, Harris Cyclery, and put in an order and a week later my light arrived. They usually have a shit load in stock but because it was early in the bike riding season, they were sold out. I was expecting a black one but the white one will do just fine. If you need a good, reliable, sleek looking head light for you bike, I recommend you pick up a Knog light. They have all sorts of bike related accessories and products. I'm very satisfied with my Knog light and I'm sure you will be just as happy and satisfied with yours.

Empire State Building

This was the view from my room when I went to NYC. We stayed at the Ace Hotel on 29th and Broadway. We were about 2 blocks from the empire State Building.
How about this for a story. When I was 16, I went to NYC with a small group of friends and without the consent of my parent. We had never been to New York by ourselves so we were ready to rage. We ended up at the Empire State Building and with out hesitation, we sat down on the floor in the lobby and passed around a joint. We ended up staying at some random Chinatown Hotel but we got tossed out of there at about 3am for being drunk and chucking empty beer bottles out of our 8th floor hotel window. That's how I popped my NYC cherry, by almost getting arrested. Yes, we were some bad ass teenagers. Thanks to the hotel manager, we managed to just get thrown out of the hotel and not into jail.
