Zippo

I just found out that my dad collected zippos back in the day. If I think back real hard I can remember seeing a drawer in my kitchen full of all kinds of lighters and most of those lighters were zippos. Now you know when I saw this giant zippo I was blown away. I just wanted to know if he actually ever used it and where the hell did it come from?
He told me he put a shit load of lighter fluid in it one time and would use it to light his cigars. Now he keeps it at his office with the rest of his work related crap. How rad would it be to use that as your primary lighter? I could be like Knicke from the movie GREASE.

42 Below Cocktail World Cup 2010

Last Sunday I was invited to the 42 below vodka cocktail world cup by my friend Josh. He had entered one of his mango infused concoctions into the running. He was chosen to compete along side nine others in a 2 hour drink tasting event.
Unfortunately he did not win but I'm sure he had a fun time and was pumped to see all his friends up in there supporting him. It was held at BOND in The Langham Hotel. I got to walk around the event and taste all kinds of vodka infused drinks. Some were better than others but the one that stood out the most for me was the one with the edible hibiscus flower.

This past month I spent some time in NYC and stayed at the Standard Hotel in Chelsea. One of the most exciting things about the room was the shower. This thing was the best shower head I had ever seen and the water pressure was extraordinary. The best way I can describe it is as though I was showering in the rain. I say this only because the water came down with such consistency that it felt like I was outside in a rain storm.I spent an unusually longer amount of time in the shower because It was just that great. It was phenomenally comforting and unforgettable to say the least. I wish there was something I could do to some how replicate that same shower experience at my own place without tearing down walls and causing a ruckus.

Invisible Man NYC

Went by the Invisible Man shop in the Village Saturday afternoon and picked up a T shirt.
Mostly everything in the shop was 35% off so I made it a must to purchase something and this horn tee really caught my eye. If your ever in Manhattan and want to check out some limited edition apparel this place in the spot.

Since I'm a huge fan of The Simpsons and have been for almost 15 years, when I saw this magnificent work of art I had to snap off a shot just because it is the great Mr. Montgomery Burns. I assume it has something to do with the mayor of NYC because I found it in NYC and because it reads "no third terms"

Lindsay Lohan nude in MACHETE

Robert Rodriguez's new film Machete has been getting tons of buzz within the horror movie community. The coolest thing about the film is that it features an all star cast of actors including Danny Trejo as the Machete, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Lindsay Lohan, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, Jeff Fahey, Steven Seagal, and Robert DeNiro. Most are just cameos but lucrative to say the least. In my opinion the most controversial aspect of the film is that Lindsy Lohan appears nude in the film. Some people are saying that it's not her but I am sure it is. Take a look at the trailer and tell me what you think. It's around the 2 minuet mark.
It was the young lady with the blond hair. If it's her, then  I think it's a great way for Lindsay to gain some more exposure(no pun intended) and reintroduce herself back into the acting community. Granted it's a grimy horror flick with tits and ass, it's still gonna get people into the seats for the soul purpose of seeing Lindsay's teets.

10 Days of Music

King Cannibal was at the GoodLife last Wednesday and he did an incredible job killing it and part of his set was a live performance.
Marcus Intalex graced us with his presence at elements 2 weeks ago and he brought the bass. He definitely gave it up to the old school by playing some heavy, heavy shit. Much RESPECT.More good music to come because this coming week is the first NEW ENGLAND ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL.... TOGETHER

Serj Tankian -Elect the Dead Symphony

Saw this being advertised and was so excited and proud about the whole thing. I have to give props to my fellow Armenian and make sure I make it a point to promote his work and get it out there and available to the masses.

Just doing my part to let everybody know that this, I think, is an amazing collaboration. Personally, I cant wait to go and see the film. It's playing at the Coolidge Corner Theater February 22nd.

Magic Tricks

Last Wednesday I went out to lunch with my brother but before lunch I had to take him to the hospital so he could get the dressing on his hand changed. That Monday morning, my brother was on his way out and he had just boiled some water for some tea. When he was out side about to get into the car, he slipped on some ice and spilled the hot boiling tea on his hand. (WARNING,WARNING,WARNING)The outcome was that he received second degree burns. He was a bit shocked when he first removed the dressing and saw the burns but he cooled down when the DR told him that the burns were already healing. I thought I would be the AWESOME brother that I am and take him out to lunch.

We went to City Girl Cafe in Inman Sq.  As we were waiting for our food, my brother started fidgeting and he remember some ghetto magic tricks from our youth.
It's not the sickest trick but it definitely got a chuckle out of me. It's cool to kick it with my broham sometimes. He is trying his best.
